Adam Dean - Author

Hi, I’m Adam Dean, an author of fantasy and sci-fi novels and short stories—with a little nod to horror because I love it when things get dark. My first novel, Heretics: Discovering Bandyalla, is well on its way to the beta reader stage and is the first in a potential series.

When it comes to inspiration, I’m a recent convert to the works of Stephen King, especially The Dark Tower series. The first novel I remember reading and loving was Jurassic Park, which I listened to on audiobook—on cassette tapes (yes, I’m that old). I’m also a massive fan of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy series. My favourite pre-19th century novel is Gulliver’s Travels, which I consider one of the earliest sci-fi books in some ways. And I love anything dystopian—1984, Brave New World, Fahrenheit 451—I devour them all.
